Amidst the myriad of beauty and beauty-related content on the web, blogs, podcasts, and TV shows, the curation and creation of such content can easily be overlooked. You might be thinking so why start a South African beauty and lifestyle blog when there’s so much competition? Grab a cup of coffee and let’s deep dive into why The Beauty Society started.

What is The Beauty Society Beauty and Lifestyle Blog?
The Beauty Society is a beauty and lifestyle blog dedicated to women over 30 wanting solace from the hassle of life. A place where you can find the latest beauty news, product reviews, skincare tips for eczema sufferers and life in Cape Town as an over 30 wife myself. I started The Beauty Society because I was tired of feeling like I was the only one in my 30s who didn’t have it all together. I wanted to create a space for women to come together and share their tips and tricks for getting through life with grace and style.
The Beauty Society, beauty and lifestyle blog is a safe haven for women of all ages to come and chat about everything from skincare to life’s struggles. I’m so proud of the journey and what I hope to create with this space.
What makes me qualified? Shockingly, The Beauty Society is not my first blogging endeavour. During the course of 10 years (if not more!) I’ve had a number of South African beauty and lifestyle blogs, some of you might even have followed my journey since.
Beauty Candy Loves and Natalya Amour, all hold a special place in my heart. Created as a teen and 20’s something-year-old just trying to find her feet in the blogging community. I have since grown so much and thought it was time to take things back and create an open forum for women to connect.
I also run The Blog Social which focuses on content creation, blogging and canva tips and tricks to help bloggers navigate the world of blogging and save you time creating content with the tools we have available. It does feel like I’ve come full circle, as much as I wasn’t planning on another beauty and lifestyle blog. There are some things that are just in your DNA no matter how much you try and run from them.
Why The Beauty Society though?
Throughout history, women have been judged on their outward appearance. I’m sure your mother warned you at a young age to “put away that lipstick” or “take off your hat” before you left the house. Looking back, the beauty industry and society have changed a lot. In the past, beauty was seen as something that was only for women.
However, over time, the industry has become more inclusive and now includes men, women, and children of all ages in all shapes, sizes and colours. The Beauty Society was created to help people feel more comfortable in their own skin and to feel confident about their appearance. The Beauty Society provides a forum for people to share their own experiences and to connect with others who can relate.
So whether you’re wanting to know what’s hot in and around Cape Town, read about whether a beauty item is worth spending the cash on or if you just looking for something to read. The Beauty Society has got you covered!
OHH I am a big fan of this blog already! I can’t wait to see more of your content here!
